I recently attended sessions with Brother Wayne Smith after my husband asked for a divorce. I was facing a trial in my life that I had never prepared for. I was experiencing anger and fear and I desperately needed a biblical perspective that I could not seem to get on my own. I had such preconceived ideas about divorce that I couldn’t understand that God was still at work in my life. Brother Wayne helped me grow as an individual by challenging me to study and to learn. He taught me that forgiveness is not about justice but obedience. He reminded me that God does have a plan for my life and that I am never lonely as long as I abide in Christ.
Without these truths during this time in my life I would have been facing a very dark road with a very dark end. The Center for Biblical Counseling is a wonderful place and a great ministry. Between Brother Wayne’s counseling, Brother Joe’s jokes, and Ms. Mary’s hugs I couldn’t have asked for better medicine or healing.
