There are not enough words to express our thanks to Brother Wayne Smith and The Center For Biblical Counseling, but I will try.

My life, as well as my marriage of 24 years was on the road to destruction. No, actually it was beyond the road and well into the ditch. When my wife and I went to see Brother Wayne, it was going to be our last effort to save our marriage. If we had hesitated as much as a day later, it may have been too late and we might be living separate lives right now.

From our first counseling session to the last, we were taught the Biblical ways of marriage. At times it was rough to handle, being brutally honest within ourselves, and realizing we were not living life the way that God intended us to. But with our newly rekindled faith in God, and Brother Wayne's guidance, we are without a doubt, on the road to recovery. It is our belief that right now, our marriage is as strong as it has ever been.

Probably the biggest contribution to our newfound faith was when Brother Wayne instructed us that we needed to go to church and worship twice a week. We exceeded his request by going to worship three times a week. Since that time we have been led to an awesome Southern Baptist Church. The fellowship has been wonderful, and the sermons seemed to be directed right at us. God knew exactly what we needed to hear during those first few months. We have since joined this church, and my wife and I were baptized together. Even though we are no longer in counseling, we still go to worship three times a week and have also started a Sunday school class. We seem to possess an unquenchable thirst for scriptural knowledge.

We realize that we are on a new Christian high right now, and that we will be tested many times in the future. But with our faith in God and the knowledge gained from Brother Wayne, we are going to beat all the modem day marriage odds.
